National Accounts Sales Manager

The Fulham Group is a fast-growing consumer products manufacturer based in Newton, MA focused on designing, developing and marketing quality products in the consumer home and lifestyle industries.  The company has an exclusive license with Cuisinart® for grilling accessories and outdoor grill and cooking appliances.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and entrepreneurial National Accounts Sales Manager that will be responsible for managing and growing existing accounts (ex. Bed Bath & Beyond, Williams Sonoma, Crate & Barrel, and Tuesday Morning) as well as identifying and developing new National and Regional Accounts. The candidate will be responsible for partnering with the VP of Sales and President/CEO to develop a solid sales strategy to drive new account opportunities while growing existing business. The candidate will work closely with Operations, Customer Service, and Finance on inventory planning and forecasting as well as partner with Marketing to ensure all retailer needs are supported. Experience selling both brick and mortar as well as e-commerce retailers is essential. 

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate “Best in Class” account management, driving growth in revenue and net margin to help us achieve and exceed our goals by developing strategic plans to win for your business and detailing a clear path for success
  • Act as the general manager of your business, apply analytical and financial acumen, and lead cross-functional teams (including outside sales reps) to achieve goals
  • Manage profitability for each account, working closely with VP of Sales & Finance to develop quotes for new items, and manage ROI
  • Maintain thorough understanding and impact of product costs and program allowances to develop strategies that mitigate exposure
  • Drive the strategy and own the outcome for customer meetings, leveraging support from Product Marketing, and other cross functional support areas to drive results
  • Be mindful of key milestones and a demonstrated ability to create and adhere to a schedule that ensures success
  • Collaborate with Demand/Supply Chain to optimize the flow of goods, maintaining forecasts and long-range plans
  • Share POS, insights, trends, and other factors impacting the business
  • Gathering and communicate competitive factors impacting the business (i.e. account assortments, new competitive items, competitive promotions, etc.)

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Strong relationship building capabilities with excellent negotiation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills including retailer and management presentations
  • Successful track record for using sales analytics and consumer insights to drive account strategy
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks at one time and achieve results under strict deadlines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to be self-motivated and work within a team environment
  • Excellent Excel/PC skills required

Education & Experience:

  • A BS/BA degree in Business or equivalent
  • 5+ years of relevant sales experience working for a consumer products company
  • Experience working with indoor or outdoor cooking appliances a plus
  • Domestic travel required 

Sales Support Specialist

The Fulham Group is a fast-growing consumer products manufacturer based in Newton, MA focused on designing, developing and marketing quality products in the consumer home and lifestyle industries.  The company has an exclusive license with Cuisinart® for grilling accessories and outdoor grill and cooking appliances.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and entrepreneurial Sales Support Specialist that will provide effective, efficient, and timely support to Sales Leadership with the day to day customer account management activity.  Duties include, but are not limited to acting as liaison to sales team with corporate departments to ensure the smooth flow of information, addressing critical customer needs, task execution management, and administrative assistance. 

The ideal candidate will have experience in working in various retailer and product information platforms such as Walmart’s Retail and/or Salsify.

Responsibilities:

  • Support Sales and coordinate internally with Marketing, Supply Chain, and Project Management teams to develop and execute end-to-end retailer activities from meeting preparation, through execution, to follow-up.
  • Interface externally to build strong relationships with sales rep groups and customers for effective implementation of various in-store, eComm, and other retail related activations.
  • Complete customer item set-up sheets and new account paperwork as directed utilizing product information stored in Salsify Content Management System.
  • Prepare sales presentations, arrange/coordinate delivery of samples for major account meetings as well as other administrative support.
  • Assist with the development of any sales related collateral for trade shows and quarterly sales communications to sales rep groups.
  • Monitor and analyze competitive retail activities including price, promotion, new products, and merchandising tactics through the execution of retail audits, store walks, website audits, and reporting.
  • Support ongoing development and execution of sales processes/procedures.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Proficient using MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Strong communication, organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to work well in a team environment.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 2-4 years related experience in assisting a sales team for a consumer products company.
  • Experience working with retailer and company new item set-up platforms such as Walmart’s Retail Link and Salsify a plus.

Product Design Engineer

The Fulham Group is a fast-growing consumer products manufacturer based in Newton, MA focused on designing, developing and marketing quality products in the consumer home and outdoor industries.  The company has an exclusive license with Cuisinart® for grilling accessories and outdoor grill and cooking appliances.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and engaged Product Design Engineer that is responsible for supporting the development of a wide range of outdoor cooking products from concept phase to production. This individual will assist in refining designs that deliver on marketing/consumer strategies, functional/safety requirements, and cost/schedule parameters while maintaining the overall integrity of Cuisinart® brand guidelines.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced team environment while collaborating with marketing, project managers, and management. Additionally, this individual will be tasked with managing communication, deliverables and timeline with an outside design firms on select new projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with our Product Development and Product Marketing teams to ensure a cohesive approach to the design of our products.
  • Identify new ideas, products and/or features that improve customer satisfaction, reduce costs and keep our product line at the forefront of our industry.
  • Communicate ideas quickly and effectively using a combination of sketching, CAD layouts, 3D models and working prototypes to evaluate potential solutions.
  • Act as key point person with outside design firms on select new projects. Collect and communicate team input on all project phases including secondary research, innovation strategy, concept generation, validation research, and concept refinement.
  • Ability to present new product concepts/feature solutions to internal team members, management and retail buyers.
  • Evaluate preliminary factory designs and provide recommended changes/enhancements to support objectives outlined in concept briefs.
  • Evaluate and provide prototype feedback based on internal design reviews including developing and conducting appropriate testing needed to validate marketing and quality claims.
  • As directed, initiate prototype development with outside resources to support retailer and/or product development reviews.
  • As needed, assess competitive products to understand design, manufacturing, and intellectual property requirements.
  • Communicate on a regular basis with internal team members, Asia manufacturing partners, and outside design resources.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Strong communication skills; must be comfortable presenting ideas to team, management and retail buyers.

Education & Experience:

  • BSE in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 3-5 years in product development for a consumer products company.
  • Proficient in Solid Works and/or similar CAD model software, Key Shot and prototyping.
  • Experience working with indoor or outdoor cooking appliances a plus.
  • Ability to travel to retailer meetings within the US and to Asia to work with manufacturing partners.

Director of Culinary Innovation & Management

The Fulham Group is small and fast-growing consumer products manufacturer based in Newton, MA focused on designing, developing and marketing quality products in the consumer home and lifestyle industries.  The company has an exclusive license with Cuisinart® for grilling accessories and outdoor grill and cooking appliances.

The Fulham Group is a seeking an enthusiastic and entrepreneurial Director of Culinary Innovation & Management to join our team.  The ideal candidate should have a degree in the culinary arts (and or related degree) with experience in culinary product development and management.  As the lead Cuisinart Grilling Culinary expert, this candidate should be comfortable conducting cooking demonstrations in front of retail buyers, Cuisinart management and potential PR/Media Events.

Strong communication, organizational and problem-solving skills are needed to support our fast-paced growth environment. The right individual understands the challenges and excitement of working in a small company and will have the ability to multi-task while being part of a dynamic team.

Responsibilities:

Research & Development:

• Performance Testing:

  • Create and execute original testing procedures to evaluate prototype performance across product development life cycle.
  • Partner with QA and Marketing to perform consumer testing on current and new products in pipeline. Evaluate touch points and provide voice-of-consumer feedback on product performance and ease of use.
  • Create recipe mapping standards for consistent testing across engineering prototypes to measure product performance.
  • Identify and communicate quality-related issues to impact manufacturing changes and product innovation.
  • Uncover and validate functional or performance claims for use in marketing materials including packaging and collateral.
  • Benchmark testing and analysis of competitor products and accessories to target opportunities in the market place.
  • Purchase ingredients and necessary tools for testing, oversee and maintain kitchen/workspace and prototype cleanliness and functionality.

New Category Development:

  • Make recommendations for cooking methods, recipes and complimentary accessories based on insights gathered through testing.
  • Spice Category Management-manage and drive ongoing development of branded spices and rubs line with 3rd party manufacturer. Develop signature recipes incorporating use of spices and rubs across range of TFG outdoor cooking appliances.

Content Development & Marketing:

Recipes & Supporting Content:

  • Media/Video Support: work with Marketing to develop themes for product videos-both for marketing and how-to-videos, to highlight key features and benefits.
  • Present oneself as the culinary expert of Cuisinart Grilling; being featured on both product, PR, and social media short videos. Must be comfortable presenting to retailer buyers and being featured at media events.
  • Develop signature recipes that highlight unique functionality and versatility of TFG’s product line.
  • Draft user tips & tricks, quick start guides and copy for packaging.
  • Partner with marketing to support packaging and video shoots by outlining appropriate foods to feature and then assist with preparation and styling.
  • Create fresh content for use in cookbooks, social, PR, packaging and photoshoots.
  • Provide current insights on food, cooking and appliance trends to enhance Marketing story.
  • Oversee 3rd party recipe development process, where applicable, including creation of recipe concepts and management of vendor, chef, and blogger relationships.

Retailer Sales Support:

  • Attend retailer pitch presentations for new products as Cuisinart Grilling Culinary expert, supporting sales product presentations by demonstrating the product’s culinary capabilities.
  • Attend retailer store events and relevant trade/industry events to conduct live product cooking demonstrations for consumers and retail customers.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Engaging and authentic personality; need to be viewed as an accessible resource to the end consumer.
  • Experience and understanding of consumer products development process.
  • Strong project management skills (detail oriented) with the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to be self-motivated and work within a team environment

Education & Experience:

  • A BA or BS in Culinary Arts or (related degree)
  • Minimum 5-7+ years of experience; strong hands on culinary training and expertise (ex. Restaurant owner/chef, consumer products culinary product development, food blogger, food stylist, menu developer, recipe and cook book writer).
